Health Services/Products:

Better Health Solutions, LLC www.betterhealthsolutionsllc.com  is my business as a Health Counselor.  I provide community education programs, group talks and individual counseling to those looking to make sense of their diet, find balance, reduce stress and live a healthier, happier life.  My focus is nutrition, but I also integrate the practice of Spring Forest Qigong.

LifeSpices are simple yet powerful reminders to include Love, Laughter, Forgiveness, and Gratitude in our daily lives. They're my way of making our thoughts, real.  Great for kids and parents or anyone who believes in the power of our thoughts to create our realities.

Publishing:

What do you do when your stories are rejected? Pick yourself up and start your own publishing company. Works for me! Freelance writing:

For three years, I was a regular contributor to Natural Communities Magazine, which is a great resource of health information and community connections for residents of Eastern Minnesota and Western Wisconsin. 

I write articles on health-related topics for the Houston Banner, the local newspaper of Houston, Minnesota.

I have been published in Living With Nature V, VI, and VII--the La Crosse River Marsh Coalition's annual collection of poems and stories celebrating nature.

I have had a short piece published in Coulee Parenting Connection, a parenting/family magazine based in La Crosse, Wisconsin

Civic Organizations:

I am President of the Friends of the Nature Center a gem of a non-profit organization in small town Houston, Minnesota that does great things for owls and the environment.

Visit us the first full weekend in March for the International Festival of Owls!

I have spearheaded the creation of the Houston Community Garden, a project  of the Friends of the Houston Nature Center. 2011 is our third season of growing good food and feeding the community!
